"ACTA: understanding the adoption process in an image"

After a request by Mattias Bjärnemalm, Head of Office to Pirate MEP Amelia Andersdotter, I took the liberty to translate a graphics presentation (original version in French) that gives a better understanding of how the ACTA process has and will proceed within the European Union.

I also encourage you to help spread this information and graphics in any way you can.
Thank you!

JP Anderson, board member of the Swedish Pirate Party.

"Institutions of the European Union issued a computer graphics to understand the adoption process of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA). They also recalled the main discussions of key dates from 2006 to present."

"To better understand the adoption process of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), the institutions of the European Union have produced a graphic that explains how the continent will make its decision. We thus find the opinions of various committees of Parliament, any recourse to the European Court of Justice and the plenary session of Parliament this summer.

In addition the computer graphics present the key dates in the ACTA negotiations from 2006 (when the negotiations started) up until today. Note however two omissions: the first is the revelation by Wikileaks (in May 2008) of the existence of discussions. The second, noticed by Françoise Castex, for the reference to the Court of Justice of the European Union that was entered by the European Commission."

  1. Tycker det blir lite rörigt med både franska och engelska. Finns det en med bara engelska kanske?
